Tell Your Story : My husband wanted to surprise me and ordered flowers for our anniversary to be delivered to me at work, which he paid the extra fee for.  The flowers never arrived!  I checked my husband's email, and there it was - a cancellation notice for the order.  My husband was very upset as he wanted to surprise me and was let down.  I called customer service and when I told him how I feel about their level of service, his response was and I quote "Have a nice day"!?!?  He also got scammed into the $9.95 / month membership which he was unaware of, I will make sure to have this cancelled.  Rip off!!!

In November I ordered flowers to be sent to a friend who just had surgery. I thought I was getting this order for $29.95 Not only did the order cost $49.95 but unknown to me they also signed me up for some program called Blooms Rewards.  They charged my bank account monthly $9.95. Due to the amount each month was a small amount I didn't pay much attention until in July 7 months later and 7 $9.95 charges later.  I have called an cancelled this so called rewards package.  When I called to cancel I asked what rewards I was getting from my $80.00 worth of fees, their reply was the coupons I could print online. This is A BIG SCAM!!!!! Don't order flowers from Blooms.  I don't know what the flowers looked like that were delivered but from some of the things I have been reading I imagine they were'nt much to look at. I can't believe they are still in business with all the complaints made against them!

We ordered a basket of two plants white and yellow Perenials Rudbeckia for a friend who lost her daughter, and this was her daughters favorite plant. it not only a money issue, which I did pay 60.00 dollars for, they insted sent her a garden dish worth 34.99 which was a ivy plant and african violet, which was nice, but not even close to what I ordered, this is very upsetting to me because they set up a flower table at her funeral with her favorite flowers.  very upset with the company, and will never order from them again, this did happen also a few years ago but the change in flowers were equil value and as pretty as I ordered, this time we were very upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very unethical marketing scam - misreprenting the 50% off as well as the $5 off when you sign up.
After reading all the posts, I am sorry to have ever given them my order. My hope is that the arrangement I was grossly overcharged for arrives in good condition to my family member who lost a loved one. Yuk! It's so dissapointing to be sending sympathy to people in need and taken advantage of. I will do my homework in the future. Luckily, I did not sign up for the "rewards" program. It's just another elaborate and misleading scam to take advantage of innocent victims.

Ordered flowers (of course) for same day delivery. Straight forward no add ons from their website. A site which turns from "Florist Henderson" to "Bloomstoday" before you very eyes! 3 hours later when it was too late to arrange an alternative florist they emailed me to say they can't deliver and I will get a full refund in 5-7 days. They take the money instantly but cant refund it instantly huh? The irritating thing is they come up on google maps wherever you want a florist. Pro scam job or what! What I hate is the fact that flowers are a product aimed at bringing comfort and joy and these ******s are not only ripping people off which is bad enough but they bring misery to people and their loved ones! It is the worst kind of scam!

A friend's mother passed away, and I went on the memorial website and while on it saw the ad for blooms today.. clicked on the site, found they had a peace lily plant that was $39.99 and now marked down to $19.99... I figured this would be great to send and at a good price.  I also had located a coupon to get 20% off.. I used the coupon.. the page showed $37.73 yet when the fee got processed through my paypal, it was $57.73.. I was like, whoa? where's the coupon.. so I called BloomsToday and the customer service rep said .. oh, dont worry, that will be refunded to you.  Okay.. well, the flowers were delivered... however, in the interim bloomstoday went in and did an ADDITIONAL charge of $9.99.. never got the refund.. so a $19.99 purchase has now turned out to cost me $87.72.. you bet your sweet petunias, I am going to be on the phone when their dang office opens tomorrow.. and if I do not get this PROBLEM resolved I will be filing a complaint!  I cannot believe I have been charged an additional $50 from these people!!!!!!!!!!!!

They sign you up for a rewards program that drafts the credit card you used monthly for $9.95. When you finally realize what is being done they say you had 14 days to cancel this program and you can not get your money credited.  They are extremely ugly on the phone. Probably because they received complaints by the minute!

I am at a loss for words on my disappointment in their service and the arrangements I made for my Mom on Mother's Day. Knowing that Mothers Day was Sunday, May 9th and most likely a very busy delivery day in the floral industry I purposely arranged for the flowers to arrive on the Saturday prior, this did not happen, in fact they arrived at 9:30PM on Sunday, Mothers Day. First this is not what I requested, second I consider Mother's Day pretty much over that late in the evening. You can imagine how my mom felt thinking I forgot about her, especially since I was half way around the world in the Virgin Islands at the time.
Now to the quality of the floral arrangement. Very small arrangement, not what I would expect for $57.73. The flora list whom they contracted with resides over 30 miles away, during the day their truck broke down and from what I heard they had to redo the arrangements which would explain the late delivery, yet it was suppose to be delivered the day before. From what my mother stated, the arrangement was just a few wild flowers and 3 roses. This is unacceptable.

I think this is very poor business ethics and poor customer service.

My wife spent over an hour on the phone at 9:00pm ordering 2 sets of flowers to be sent to a funeral home in San Francisco 2 days later. She was told a manager would call her the following morning to confirm the after hours order. No one called back, so my wife called again. One order had been processed, and they had no record of another order.
They would not apologize for their screw-up. In fact, it took about 40 minutes of verbal tennis for them to admit it was their mistake and they then offered to take the order again at the regular price of course, no discount for our inconvenience. My wife declined the offer.
We arrive at the funeral home to see the "Basket Full of Daisies" advertised on their web-site for $34.99 + fees + .... It looked like a $5 tub of flowers from the supermarket. How can they stay in business? They should be shut down by the Attorney General! there are Federal Laws about this kind of Interstate mail fraud! I can smell a class action law suit.

I, along with several other co-workers collected money and ordered a classic peace lilly for a friend of ours that lost her grandfather and sister-in-law within 48 hours. I used bloomstoday.com because it was recommended from the online newspaper column as a good service. Needlesstosay, after spending almost $60 on the arrangement, it was never delivered. I was embarrassed and mad at the same time. To make it up to me, bloomstoday.com sent me a $10 coupon. Also, I will be cancelling my monthly membership but have to wait at least 14 days before you can do that. What a sham!!!

Greetings!
We ordered flowers on Friday, May 7th, speaking with Anna.  Our order confirmation number is: 96328610
Needless to say, it is very disappointing to Mom and my brothers who were depending on this order as well.  This is the first non-delivery of flowers since I have ordered them in 1972.
After waiting some time on hold, I spoke with Lorraine about 8:20 am this morning, and she proceeded to say that according to her records, the flowers were delivered at 3:30 pm Sunday.  I spoke with Mom last night about 7 pm her time, and she had not received them then. Perhaps a wrong address, or whatever.  We did ask for them to be delivered on Saturday, but an early Sunday delivery would have been reasonable, Sunday afternoon stretching it.
Lorraine proceeded to give us a discount on a reorder this week, confirmation number: 96331200, but the whole point is to receive an order of this nature on a designated day, and that is your job as a florist company.  You need to find out what your delivery people are doing and get your troops in line or change personnel.  We feel that with your 100 percent guarantee that you should step forward and give us a reorder as a complementary gesture to retain us as a customer rather than charging us a slightly reduced rate as Lorraine has done.  In fact, the proper handling of this would be to send the order for free and include an apology to Mom.
Sincerely, Jordan Dawn

I ordered 5 flower arrangements in one order from bloomstoday.com and have been charged 5 times now $49.75(9.95 times 5)a month for some rewards program I never heard of. I didn't check my statement until this month. I am so mad. Once I called, I was told that I should have read all the fine print. The women, who took my call, named Catherine, was condescending in her manner and acted as if I was undedicated. I was told that I would not be refunded - from their SCAM!!
What can I do about it? Any suggestions out there? This has to be a scam.

Thank you.

Tony

BBB Gives Florist an "F" Rating
Reported by: John Matarese
Email: jmatarese@wcpo.com
Last Update: 5/06 6:03 pm

. (Full BBB Review
Reported by: John Matarese

Many of us are planning to buy Mom flowers for Mothers Day.  Or we may be sending flowers in the coming months for a birthday or other occasion.

But before you place your order, we have a warning from the Better Business Bureau about one online florist.

The BBB has more than 150 complaints about a floral website called Blooms Today, also known as Flowers Today.

Why so Many Complaints?

Most complaints do not concern the quality of flowers. Online reviews say the flowers are arranged by local florists, and generally are very good.

Rather, most complaints concern Bloom's Today's 50% discount program.  The site often offers you a 50% discount on your purchase, if you click on a box.

But online complaint boards and forums are filled with complaints that point out if you say "yes" to the discount (a natural response), you inadvertently join a rewards club that costs $10 a month, or $120 dollars a year.

So the BBB of Washington, DC gives Blooms Today (aka Flowers Today) an F rating.

As always, don't waste your money.  I'm John Matarese.

Order a gift basket for my mother for Mother's Day, the basket was 90.00 which was suppose to be half price. Bloomstoday did not have the basket delivered to my mother, they claim that they could not find a local florist to make the basket, however they did not have enough professional ethics to contact me so that I could have ordered from another florist. The B**)(* that took my order and her whole family can go to H(*( for not making sure that my mother got a mother's day gift. The Hell with Bloomstoday

I want to warn everyone not to shop here, this is an absolute SCAM!! They have no customer service available and now I need to call Monday AND SEE if I can possibly get my money back and cancel order, here is the other kicker they have this 100% money back guarantee? Now I ordered flowers locally in Stuart,Florida from Bloomstoday.com and apparently I should be able to receive a 100% refund because my order was not same day delivery or shipped. I am on a limited income and every dollar counts, if I do not receive a full refund I will continue to inform other online shoppers from going through this horrible experience thus far. The further I look into this company the more bad reviews I tend to see.I just do not get why you have to scam people especially on "Mothers Day" you should be ashamed of your bad business practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HUGE scam!!! Today I received a check for $6.47 from Blooms Today. It looked like a normal check and I thought oh, maybe they overcharged me on the one and only time I ordered from them (never, ever again) and are sending me a refund. I looked and looked at that check and FINALLY I saw it. In really small print it says by cashing this check you are automatically signed up for a one year long program that ends up costing you 164.00!!! What a hell of a nerve. I will never use this company again. I had a coupon from the Entertainment Book (I need to contact them to tell them about Blooms Today) and it was supposed to be for 50% off a flower order. Only after everything was ordered and all info given on my part, including my VISA number, did they bother to tell me that the only way I got the 50% discount was if I joined the Blooms Rewards Program. WHATEVER!!! HUGE, HUGE rip-off. :(
