My Complaint : I ordered a bright colorful arrangement 
for a friend called Festive Fireworks. A 100% yellow 
arrangement was delivered on 3/12/12. I was first told 
on 3/13/12, that the delivery person delivered the wrong 
order and that a swap could be made on 3/14/12. I told 
customer service that I was not interested in them 
taking the first arrangement but would be fine with them 
delivering the correct order. 


The second customer service person called back 
to say that a mistake had not been made and that Merit reserves the right to exchange flowers based on what is available in the shop and that only yellow flowers were available that day. At first 
the customer service person would not even consider any resolution. 

Now the first person offered an exchange of flowers. She was willing to allow that resolution. I am not happy with that option. I feel like a new arrangement should be delivered and the old one stays. It is silly to take the 2 day old arrangement back. I also offered a credit for a future order or a refund as an acceptable option. Their website states "The Utmost care and attention is given to your order to ensure that it is as similar as possible to the requested item." It goes on to say "In arrangements of assorted flowers, the colors shown online will be used if possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value." I read this to mean that instead of substituting color, they will substitute flower to make the arrangement look the same.

Hold FTD Inc., BloomNet, & Teleflora accountable for their "repeat offender" affiliates. Every business makes mistakes, but patterns of complaints should be monitored closely and affiliates should face swift suspensions if they fail to operate in a professional manner. Without FTD, BloomNet, & Teleflora "repeat offenders" can not exist. Contact FTD & Teleflora Membership Services to express concern about one of their members.
