Teleflora.com wouldn't tell me the name of the florist
I ordered
two arrangements for my mother-in-law, who I am very fond of; a bouquet in a
vase for her birthday (two days before Thanksgiving) and a Thanksgiving
centerpiece. I paid $150 for the birthday bouquet and it was beautiful - had
cymbidium orchids, roses, hydrangeas - just lovely. The "Autumn Lights"
centerpiece was another story - for $85 it was a complete rip-off. It was skimpy
- my husband and I were so embarrassed. I emailed Teleflora.com and was offered
a 20% refund. I accepted by email and wanted to know the florist so I could
never use them again. Got a generic response but no florist information. Came
home from work yesterday to get a message from teleflora asking me to call them.
Called them this morning - got a very neutral sounding woman - again accepted
the 20% refund like a FOOL. She wouldn't tell me the name of the florist - she
said that in the future I could call or email teleflora to make sure that the
same florist wouldn't redeliver. I told her I don't have that much time when I
could use ftd.com or 1-800 flowers; now I was irritated. In retrospect I should
have demanded a refund but this is a lesson learned. Can't trust teleflora.com.
